Police looking for man who hid in bathroom, sexually assaulted woman at downtown Plymouth pavilion [VIDEO]

(WWJ) Police are looking for a young man accused of attacking a woman inside a public bathroom in downtown Plymouth.

It happened at around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Comfort Station in t The Gathering pavilion at 736 Penniman Ave., near S. Main Street and W. Ann Arbor Trail.

According to Plymouth Police, the suspect — who is believed to be 15 to 20 years old — entered the women’s bathroom and hid in a stall. The victim entered the bathroom around 20 minutes later and used a second stall. When she exited the stall, police said the suspect attacked and attempted to sexually assault the woman.

The victim was able to fight her attacker off and he fled, police said, running Kellogg Park and then toward Union Street. The woman was not physically injured.

On Tuesday, investigators released video and photos of the suspect, as they continue to search for him.

He is described as a white male with short brown hair, 5'7" tall and around 120-140 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black jacket or sweatshirt, dark-colored sweatpants and black and white tennis shoes.
