Police release video of two suspects wanted in connection with armed robbery at Dollar General [WATCH]

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Police Department is asking for tips about two suspects who allegedly robbed a local store at gunpoint two weeks ago.

According to police, two men walked into the Dollar General on the 12500 block of Grand River and Fullerton a little before 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23 and threatened a cashier with a gun.

The employee told police one suspect came up to the counter and acted as if he was paying for his items and the other walked out of sight. When the employee opened the register, the man pulled out a firearm and demanded cash.

The man was able to take a sum of money and both suspects took off on foot. They were last seen heading east on Grand River.

Police said no injuries were reported.

Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes these suspects or if anyone has information about this crime, to please call the Detroit Police Department’s 2nd Precinct at 313-596-5240.
