(WWJ) Have you seen this woman?
Detroit Police are asking for the public's help as they search for a
"person of interest" wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl.
On Sunday, just before 8:30 p.m., police said the victim and a known suspect were involved in a dispute in the 9100 block of Beaconsfield in Detroit. Police said at one point a shot was fired into a home, striking the teen, who died at a local hospital.
On Monday, officers served a search warrant in the 33100 block of Alberta in Westland and arrested two people: a 22-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman in connection with the shooting.
However, investigators want to speak with another woman, Alexis Monye Reeves III, whom they believe may have information about the incident.
Police released a photo of Reeves, hoping someone in the public has seen her.
Anyone who knows of Reeves' whereabouts or who has any information about the shooting is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260. To remain anonymous, call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587).
