
(WWJ) The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public help to identify and located two suspects wanted in a shooting on the city’s west side.
At around 10 p.m. on Friday, March 12, the suspects were seen on Project Green Light camera getting out of a gold, older model Dodge Caravan at a gas station in the 10000 block of Rosa Parks Blvd.
A few seconds later, the victim — a 22-year-old man — pulled up in a black 2003 GMC Envoy.
Police said suspect number one walked over to the victim’s driver’s side door, then walked to the rear of the victim’s vehicle, pulled out a gun and and fired shots, striking the victim.
The suspects got back into the van and fled the scene, headed southbound on Rosa Parks Blvd., police said.
The victim drove himself to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
It's not clear at this time why the victim may have been targeted.
As the investigation continues, police are still searching for both suspects.
Suspect number one is described as a Black male, 6’0” tall with a medium build and short hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt, ripped black jeans and a crossbody-style fanny pack.
Suspect number two is described as a Black female, with a thin build and red hair. She was wearing light-colored jean jacket and jeans.
