(WWJ) -- It may be the middle of winter, but that's not stopping construction crews from working on Metro Detroit's major roadways.
The northbound I-75 entrance ramp from 11 Mile will close Monday morning as I-75 and 12 Mile area in Oakland County will be transformed into a diverging diamond interchange. This type of interchange is already in place on I-75 at the 14 Mile, Big Beaver and University Drive exits.
The closure will be in place through mid-November.
In the meantime, drivers will be detoured to the 14 Mile ramp.
Another big project in 2022 involves I-275 in Wayne County and I-96 between Novi and Milford, which is getting a flex lane to help with rush hour congestion.
