DETROIT (WWJ) – A Las Vegas man and self-proclaimed “Pro-Life Spider-Man” has been issued a ticket for disorderly conduct and released from Detroit police custody after scaling a building at the Renaissance Center on Sunday.

Detroit police did not release his name, but 22-year-old Maison DesChamps posted pictures and videos of his climb up the building on his “Pro-Life Spider-Man” Instagram page.

DesChamps has performed similar stunts in other cities, including climbing the New York Times building and hung anti-abortion banners last week. He was apparently wearing a shirt with an anti-abortion message on Sunday.

In an Instagram post Monday, DesChamps says part of his mission is to expose Dr. Cesare Santangelo, apparently a doctor who performs abortions in the Washington, D.C. area.

DesChamps didn't climb the 79-story hotel tower, Detroit's tallest building, but one of the smaller, 39-story buildings.

Authorities said no further charges will be brought against DesChamps. Disorderly conduct is punishable by a ticket of up to $500 or up to 90 days in jail.

A Detroit police spokesperson said the stunt is not related to the man who scaled the Ambassador Bridge last year.
