According to Crime Stoppers of Michigan, 59-year-old Joseph Gennrich of Roseville was fatally shot early in the morning of Friday, March 12, 2020, on Detroit’s east side.

It happened at around 1:45 a.m., in the 11000 block of Charlemagne between Gunston Ave. and Conner Street, north of Gratiot Ave.

It's believed that a suspect or suspects shot Gennrich during an attempted robbery, according to investigators, but other circumstances surrounding the slaying are still unknown.

Two suspects, seen running away from the scene, were described as Black males wearing dark colored clothing with hoods over their heads.

As the search for Gennrich's killers continues, authorities are hoping someone in the public will come forward with information that will help solve the case.
