CHESTERFIELD TWP (WWJ) -- Police in Chesterfield Township arrested a couple and confiscated cash, drugs and a shotgun after conducting a traffic stop because they believed the driver was intoxicated.
According to a press release, officers pulled over a car after suspecting that the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
During their investigation, law enforcement discovered that the man and woman in the vehicle were in possession of crystal meth, cocaine, more than $21,000 in cash and a shotgun with ammunition.
The pair was arrested and taken to the Macomb County Jail to await potential charges.
Chesterfield PD seized the shotgun, cash and narcotics.
