When Rowland was told to place her hands behind her back, she ran off.

The suspect was eventually caught, but when troopers tried to secure the suspect in a patrol car, it's alleged that she kicked one of them in the forehead and continued to kick at police for several minutes. While being transferred from the patrol car to an ambulance for medical attention, she kicked a trooper in the mouth, and a paramedic in the head, MSP said.

When police searched the woman's car after the arrest they found a set of brass knuckles.

Rowland was lodged in the Oakland County Jail and arraigned Wednesday in 47th District Court on one count of dangerous weapon - brass knuckles, a 5-year felony, and three counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, a 2-year felony.

Bond was set at $10,000.
