MILFORD (WWJ) -- The labor shortage has claimed another business -- a 28-year-old restaurant in Milford.
In a lengthy post on Facebook, owners Perry & Kris Sinacola of the Milford House say they have been "working tirelessly to weather the storm" over the past 18 months of the COVID-19 pandemic, the but their "inability to find adequate staff" has forced them to close the restaurant for good.
The establishment had been open at a prominent corner in downtown Milford for nearly 30 years, and often featured live music in addition to food.
The Facebook post has garnered over 700 comments, with many patrons saying they are shedding tears and thanking the Sinacolas for the memories.
"So very sad. We have loved you and your family since we moved to Milford," one user wrote. "Thank you for so many great meals and wishing you all the best!"
"We are so sorry to hear this!" another person commented. "We have enjoyed many, many great meals and loved every one of your employees throughout the years!"
The message from Milford House to community members said: "Thank you for your patronage."
