
(WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for a pair of suspects in a gas station shooting on Sunday, near I-75 and just east of Midtown on Sunday.
An 18-year-old man was injured in the incident at around 5 p.m., in the 900 of Mack Avenue.
According to investigators, the victim was inside the gas station store when two unknown men — a driver and the suspect — pulled up in a white Jaguar and parked at a gas pump.
The driver got out of the car, leaving the suspect in the front passenger seat.
As the victim came out of the gas station, police said the suspect fired shots through the windshield, striking the victim.
After the shooting, the wounded victim ran away as the driver drove off with the suspect, heading north on the Chrysler Freeway Service Drive.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect was described as a Black male with a light complexion, wearing a red jacket with a black hoodie, and armed with a handgun.
The driver was described as Black male with a dark brown complexion and dreadlocks, wearing a white jacket and blue jeans.
Other details, including a motive for the shooting, remain unclear as police say circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated.
