TROY (WWJ) A Troy man has been charged in connection to four Oakland County bank robberies in a two-week span.
Oakland County prosecutors have charged Eddie Flint, 29, with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of bank robbery.
Prosecutors said Flint wore a mask over his face and he implied he had a weapon during each robbery.
The robberies he’s believed to be responsible for occurred on September 20, at Huntington Bank on Big Beaver Road near Somerset Mall in Troy; September 24 at Chase Bank on Big Beaver between Coolidge and Crooks in Troy; September 27 at Huntington Bank on Crooks at 14 in Royal; and lastly, on October 3 at Vibe Credit Union on Coolidge Hwy. near 12 Mile in Berkley.
Troy Police said Flint bought a one-way plane ticket from Detroit Metro Airport to Las Vegas. Michigan authorities contacted Las Vegas Metro Police and arranged to have Flint arrested when he landed.
He was held at the Clark County jail in Nevada, awaiting extradition back to Michigan.
The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Flint and police took him into custody on Thursday.
Flint is being held on a $2 million bond.
