After the latest attempt at commercial auto theft in Metro Detroit, why aren't automakers doing more to stop it?

(WWJ) – Police arrested seven people in Macomb County Tuesday after they allegedly tried to steal brand new Dodge Ram pickup trucks off the lot at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant.

The news Tuesday morning wasn’t all that shocking, as it wasn’t the first time thieves have tried to do this in Metro Detroit. In fact, it’s becoming more and more common.
