DETROIT (WWJ) -- One person has been arrested in connection with a carjacking on Detroit's east side, but the second suspect is still out there.
The Detroit Police Department reached out to the public on Thursday, asking for tips to identity the young man, who was caught on camera at a gas station — along with the alleged accomplice already in custody.
According to investigators, a 19-year-old man was walking with the suspects on Mitchell Street near McNichols and Conant when things took a turn.
The male suspect, police said, pulled out a gun and demanded the keys to the victim’s black 2010 Ford Fusion.
Both suspects then got into the car and sped away.

Detroit police haven’t released any further details about the crime or the suspects, including whether they knew the victim or why they were walking together.
Police said they were able to identify and arrest the woman allegedly involved, but they were still looking for the man as of Thursday.
He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Commercial Auto Theft Unit at 313-596-2555, or the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587). Tips may also be submitted online at this link.
As always, those who call Crime Stoppers remain 100% anonymous, will not be asked their names, to speak to police or to testify in court.
Cash rewards of up to $1,000 are paid by Crime Stoppers when an arrest is made.
