ELMIRA, Mich. (WWJ) -- A Midland, Michigan woman is facing a drunken driving charges after authorities say she crashed her car into a house west of Gaylord.

Just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday, troopers with the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post responded to a call from a passerby about a crash on M-32 near Buell Rd. in Elmira Township.

Police said an investigation found that the 47-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on M-32 when she left the roadway and crashed into a home.

Photos released by MSP show extensive damage.

Fortunately, the house was abandoned and there was no one inside, police said.

The woman was taken to Otsego Memorial Hospital where she was treated for several broken ribs and fractured finger.

After her release from the hospital, she was lodged in the Otsego County Jail on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated.

The woman's name was not released.

No one else was hurt.
