Following the initial crash, the Jeep then went into the soutbound lane and struck a GMC Terrain driven by an unidentified female.
The GMC went into a ditch after the crash and caught fire. The female in the Terrain was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 57-year-old man was not injured and the 27-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
M-25 was closed from Burtch Road to North Lakeport Drive for about four hours while accident investigators from the sheriff's office were on the scene.
