SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- Southfield Police say a 35-year old woman was killed while trying to cross 8 Mile Road on foot Monday night.
Investigators said the woman was struck by a pickup truck on 8 Mile near the Southfield Freeway, just before midnight.
It doesn't appear the woman was in a crosswalk, police said.
She was treated at the scene and then rushed by EMS to a local hospital where she died of her injures a short time later.
The driver involved did stop at the scene and was questioned by police.
While the investigation is ongoing, police said foul play is not suspected.
No names have been released.
