The three other men on the crew rushed to turn off the machine and called 911. Deputy Chief Curt Lawson says officers responded to the scene within two minutes of the call.

According to officials, it appears the man’s jacket got caught in the branches he was feeding into the machine.

Officers applied a tourniquet when they arrived, but the man -- who was reportedly in his 40s -- died in the ambulance on the way to Beaumont Royal Oak.
