TROY (WWJ) -- A Detroit woman is jailed on felony charges after it's alleged she claimed she had a bomb, and tried to rob a Chase Bank in Troy.

At around 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 28, police said 24-year-old Zeenat Jana Scott-Musa walked into the bank branch on John R Rd., just north of 14 Mile Rd.

The suspect was carrying a backpack, according to police, and she passed the teller a note stating that she had a bomb.

When the teller alerted the bank manager of the situation, the woman fled the bank without any money.

Police said the would-be robber left the threatening note at the scene, and investigators with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab used a fingerprint on that note to confirm the suspect’s identity.

The Oakland County Prosecutors Office issued a warrant for Scott-Musa, and she was arrested on Monday.

Scott-Musa was arraigned in 52-4 District Court on charges of armed robbery and bank robbery.
