The accolades keep rolling in for Dylan Crews, with the latest announced just minutes before he and his LSU squad went to battle for one of the biggest trophies in college baseball.

The superstar centerfielder was named the recipient of the 2023 Golden Spikes Award, given annually to the best amateur baseball player in the United States as voted on by national media, pro baseball personnel and USA Baseball staff.

Crews' third season in Baton Rouge has been remarkable, with the presumptive top pick in the draft reaching base in all 69 games leading up to Game 2 of the CWS title series. Crews has batted an astounding .418 this season, to go with 18 home runs, 69 RBI, 70 walks and just 46 strikeouts.

Florida's Jac Caglianone and Wyatt Langford, along with LSU ace Paul Skenes and slugger Tommy White were also among the group of 25 finals. Click here for the full list.

It's just the latest trophy bestowed on a Tigers player, with Skenes earning the Dick Howser trophy given to college baseball's top player, and Crews earning the Bragan award given annually to baseball's top hitter.

Crews becomes just the second player in LSU history to win the award, joining Ben McDonald, whose single-season strikeout record was also eclipsed by Skenes earlier in the tournament.
