Did you know that Kramer Robertson’s mom is Kim Mulkey? That fact was pointed out just about every LSU baseball game from 2014-17 when he was the Tigers shortstop. Now, mom has joined the Bayou Bengals, which has ignited excitement for women’s basketball and the entire sports scene in Baton Rouge.

“She's intense. She's fiery. She's passionate,” explained Robertson on Sports Talk with Bobby Hebert and Kristian Garic. “She was one to give me a kick in the ass when I needed it in sports. But at the same time, when I would come home and I needed somebody to take care of me and just be a mom, she could play that role as well.”

Mom’s are the best! They babies are above anything. Even Hall-of-Fame coaches are wired that way.

“She always put me, she always put my sister first.  Family was always first to her,” Robertson said.  “So, we were discussing, going over the pros and cons of this job. I told her it's time for you to make a decision to put yourself first. It's going to make you happy and this deal was just the perfect time to do it. She's always talked about wanting to come home.”

Robertson goes on to talk about LSU baseball & Coach Paul Mainieri along where he’s currently at in his MLB career. Listen below:
