LSU fans didn't even need a second weekend at the College World Series to break drinking records (more specifically Jell-O shot records), but they've taken it to a new level ahead of a title series showdown with Florida.
Rocco's Pizza & Cantina, the bar that runs the Jell-O shot challenge, announced in the hours prior to the game that they had actually run out. Tigers fans had also taken over the lobby at the team hotel with incredible numbers.

It's no surprise to anyone in south Louisiana, but Tigers fans have traveled exceedingly well to support their team, which also refuses to lose. The Tigers won their opener against Tennessee, but fell to Wake Forest on Monday to be kicked to the loser's bracket. They responded with another win over the Vols, then back-to-back wins over that same Wake Forest squad to punch a ticket to the title series.
The group waiting is the Florida Gators, who cruised through their half of the bracket with a 3-0 record and has a clear rest advantage. It was also Florida that LSU faced when they made a similar march out of the loser's bracket, only to lose back-to-back games to the Gators to finish runner-up in Omaha.
Game 1 of the series is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Saturday (listen live on WWL). Game 2 will be played Sunday, with an if-necessary, winner-take-all Game 3 set for Monday.
