The LSU Tigers firmly laid claim to the driver’s seat in the SEC West Saturday thanks to their upset overtime victory over Alabama in Death Valley, but with two SEC foes left on the 2022 schedule, they still have some work to do.
However, their next opponent will be short a pair of defensive backs this weekend.
Junior Myles Slusher and freshman Anthony Brown have both been suspended by the Arkansas Razorbacks football team and will miss their showdown with LSU on Saturday, according to Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman.
Brown and Slusher were arrested early Sunday morning after Arkansas’s upset loss at the hands of Liberty. The pair were charged with disorderly conduct.
“We’ve suspended them for at least one week and they’ve got a.m. runs, they’ve done one this morning,” Pittman said. “They’ll both participate in practice on scout team and it’s unfortunate – it’s not acceptable and part of our job is to teach these kids and hopefully, we’ll get that done.”
Slusher has 20 total tackles for the Hogs this season, including 14 unassisted and four for loss, and two sacks. Brown however has yet to play a down this season.
LSU will undoubtedly move up from their previous #10 ranking after beating the then-6th ranked Crimson Tide and will be firmly entrenched in the College Football Playoff top 10 when they face off with Arkansas in Fayetteville Saturday morning at 11 a.m. on WWL Radio.
