A clip of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees at his introductory press conference went viral Sunday, 15 years to the day after the footage was shot.
Brees himself even commented on the video and poke fun at the shirt he was wearing that day.
Brees signed with the Saints after playing his first five seasons with the then San Diego Chargers. He would go on to break several NFL records and in 2009 won a Super Bowl with the franchise.
Brees is reportedly expected to announce his retirement this offseason and recently restructured his contract to help the Saints create cap space which some NFL analyst cite as a sign his retirement is impending.
However, a video of the QB completing an intense workout led some to speculate that he might be preparing for another season.
His trainer told Sports Talk with Bobby Hebert & Kristian Garic that fans shouldn't read too much into that workout clip.
The Saints currently have backup quarterback Taysom HIll under contract for the 2021 season and have expressed interest in bringing back Jameis Winston who spent last season with the franchise.
