Saints defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson is still on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 but tweeted Thursday night that his return to the active roster might be imminent.

Gardner-Johnson tweeted “I’m back” seemingly indicating he will be coming off the COVID-19 list soon.

The defensive back tallied 66 tackles including five for a loss to go along with 13 pass deflections, an interception and a sack this season.

Gardner-Johnson was one fo several Saints players that missed the regular season finale due to the coronavirus. Several players like Latavius Murray, Michael Burton and Dwayne Washington have returned from the COVID-19 list and running back Alvin Kamara seemed to indicate via Twitter that he planned to play in the team’s Wild Card playoff matchup against the Chicago Bears Sunday.
