The Saints are among potential trade destinations for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, according to a report from The Athletic.
Per the report, Wilson’s representation has discussed a potential trade with the Seahawks and New Orleans is a potential destination.
The report also lists the Dolphins, Jets and Raiders as potential landing spots for the Super Bowl winning quarterback.
Wilson, a seven-time Pro Bowler, threw a career-best 40 touchdown passes last season while completing 68.8 percent of his passes, also a career-high, for 4,212 yards.
The Saints still face uncertainty at the quarterback position as Taysom Hill is the only passer committed to play this upcoming season.
Starter Drew Brees is reportedly expected to announce his plans to retire and backup Jameis Winston is set to become a free agent.
Saints coach Sean Payton has said multiple times that New Orleans liked what it saw from Winston this past season and wants to have him return for the 2021 season.
The Saints also reportedly met with 2021 NFL Draft prospects Mac Jones and Jamie Newman at the Reese's Senior Bowl.
