The New Orleans Saints are getting ready to host one of the more anticipated training camp slates in some time, and fans now know when they'll get their first look at the 2023 roster.
The first open practice will be held on July 28, with Saints fans getting their first look at Derek Carr and several other key additions. All local practices are scheduled to be held at the Ochsner Sports Performance Complex in Metairie. Scroll below for all the schedule info you'll need.
Seven of the 22 practices will be open to the public:
- Friday, July 28 (shells): 9-11:30 a.m.
- Saturday, July 29 (shells): 9-11 a.m.
- Monday, July 31 (pads): 9-11 a.m.
- Friday, Aug. 4 (shells): 9-11 a.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 5 (pads): 9-11:30 a.m.
- Sunday, Aug. 6 (pads): 9-11:30 a.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 10 (pads): 9-11:30 a.m.
The first day of practice will be Wednesday July 26. The Saints will travel out west for a pair of joint practices with the L.A. Chargers on Aug. 17 and 18 leading up to the Week 2 preseason matchup. Those practices will be held at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa, California. The Chargers have listed those practices on their schedule as open to Chargers season-ticket holders only.
The Saints will also host joint practices with the Houston Texans on Aug. 24 and 25 ahead of the final preseason matchup. Both practices will be closed to the public.
Camp will wrap on Tuesday, Aug. 29 with a practice held from 4:40 to 6:10 p.m., leading into an open week before a Week 1 showdown at the Caesars Superdome against the Tennessee Titans.

Tickets for the Saints' open practices are free of charge, but are limited based on capacity. Tickets can be reserved on neworleanssaints.com beginning on July 17 for season-ticket holders. Anyone on the season ticket waitlist can register for tickets starting on July 18, and the tickets open to the general public on July 19. All camp practices are subject to change based on weather.
Parking is also free based on availability, with gates opening to the public 45 minutes prior to each practice. Players will be available, weather permitting, to sign autographs at the resumption of each open practice.
