Saints vs Eagles big-play blog: Follow all the top moments from Week 11 showdown

Nothing has been easy for the Saints in the 2021 season, at least since the most surprising Week 1 blowout in recent memory.

That's certainly the case for Week 11 against the Eagles, with multiple star players -- including Alvin Kamara, Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk -- joining the list of big names out of action.

With another game coming up in 4 days, there's not much leeway. Can the Saints find a way to get it done in Philadelphia?

THE SCORE

THE HIGHLIGHTS

MARCUS WILLIAMS, YEESH.

Jalen Hurts is tough to corral. He extends plays forever, and the DBs have to run forever. Marcus Williams was ready, though, covering a ton of ground and getting a hand on a ball intended for a wide-open Miles Sanders to stop what would've been a huge gain. The Eagles knocked through a 50-yarder to extend their lead to 17-7, but it could've been more if not for Marcus.

━━━━

I'LL TAKE THAT

The Saints needed a spark. Of course they'd get it from punter Blake Gillikin, who pinned the Eagles inside their 5-yard line. The defense did the rest, forcing a Miles Sanders fumble that was wrestled away on the ground for a massive turnover in the 2nd quarter. The ensuing drive didn't exactly go to plan, with the Saints eventually scoring on 3rd and goal from the 18, with Trevor Siemian somehow finding Adam Trautman in the back of the end zone.

END Q1: Eagles 14, Saints 0
━━━━

STILL HURTS

Saints linebacker Demario Davis did all he could, but after review the Eagles were given another rushing TD, Jalen Hurts' second of the day. The Saints are in yet another early hole, this time 14-0.

━━━━

THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU WANT...

It'd been 6 weeks since the Saints threw an interception, but that didn't matter to the Eagles. TJ Edwards bluffed a blitz and sunk into coverage. Saints QB Trevor Siemian never saw him as he tried to loft it to Nick Vannett, and the Eagles took advantage. It didn't take them long to make it hurt, with Eagles QB Jalen Hurts eventually sneaking it in for a TD and an early 7-0 lead.
