The New Orleans Saints have continued to cull their offensive staff this week, setting the stage for a fresh approach on offense under new OC Klint Kubiak.

The latest names that will be headed elsewhere are QBs coach Ronald Curry and assistant OL coach Kevin Carberry, according to multiple reports. Carberry will be hired as the OL coach with the Bucs.

The moves represent the latest in a string of decisions that signal a fresh start on offense, at least schematically. The team is expected to stick with QB Derek Carr as well as a majority of the roster, with some decisions to make with veterans and depth players. Moving on from Curry was somewhat of a surprise considering his level of support from players in the locker room and working relationship with Derek Carr. He also represented one of the few remaining vestiges of the Sean Payton offense. Curry is expected to join the Bills on Joe Brady's staff, according to reports, though his position is unclear.

Curry first joined the Saints staff in 2016 as an offensive assistant and also served as the WRs coach for multiple seasons before take the QBs role.

The Saints had already moved on from OC Pete Carmichael, WRs coach Kodi Burns and OL coach Doug Marrone. RBs coach Joel Thomas also departed for the RBs coach job with the Giants, a move the Saints could have blocked if they so desired.

The lone remaining offensive coaches from the 2023 staff are TEs coach Clancy Barone and offensive assistants Jahri Evans, Kevin Petry, Jordan Traylor and DJ Williams.

As the new staff takes shape, it will be tasked with a quick turnaround and have a short runway to find success in what is certainly a high-pressure season for the Dennis Allen regime. The Saints went 7-10 in Year 1, then 9-8 last year, both times requiring a late-season push to get to those marks, but both times falling short of the playoffs.

The move to officially hire Kubiak in the OC role can't be completed until after the Super Bowl, with his current 49ers squad facing off against the Chiefs on Sunday.
