How much is a last-second flight to Orlando? Because Demario Davis will be needing one.

The Saints star linebacker has been named as an alternate for the league's annual showcase, replacing 49ers linebacker Fred Warner, who will be playing in the Super Bowl and unable to participate.

The honor marks the second consecutive year Davis has landed in the Pro Bowl after missing out over the first 10 years of his NFL career, despite multiple All-Pro selections. Davis will join Rashid Shaheed, who made the NFC roster as a return specialist.

Davis is the first Saints linebacker to be named to consecutive Pro Bowl squads since Jonathan Vilma in 2009-'10.

Davis, who turned 35 earlier this month, has shown no signs of slowing down and made it clear he has no plans to retire. In the 2023 season he appeared in all 17 games, rolling up 121 tackles -- the second highest total in his career -- 12 TFLS, 11 QB hits and 6.5 sacks, matching his career high sack total for the second consecutive season.

The 2024 Pro Bowl will be a multi-day NFC vs AFC competition held in Orlando, Florida culminating on Feb. 4. The event features a variety of skills games, but no actual tackle football. Both sides will participate in a flag football game to close out the event, with Eli and Peyton Manning serving as coaches for the second consecutive season.
