The New Orleans Saints have a lengthy injury report heading into a Week 4 showdown with the Bucs, headlined by Derek Carr.

The Saints quarterback was held out of Wednesday's practice as he recovers from a shoulder injury suffered in the second half of a loss to the Packers. Head coach Dennis Allen classified his status as week to week.

Carr was one of seven Saints players who did not participate in the first practice of the week. See the full breakdown below:

DNP = did not participate; LP = limited participation; FP = full participation
- S Jordan Howden (finger): DNP
- QB Derek Carr (right shoulder): DNP
- G Cesar Ruiz (concussion): DNP
- CB Paulson Adebo (hamstring): DNP
- TE Foster Moreau (ankle): DNP
- TE Jimmy Graham (rest): DNP
- RT Ryan Ramczyk (rest): DNP

The statuses of DBs Jordan Howden and Paulson Adebo will be interesting to watch. Howden injured his finger during practice last week and played through the issue. Adebo's injury also cropped up late in the week and he was replaced by Isaac Yiadom. The Saints continue to be short-handed in the secondary with Marcus Maye suspended two more games.

On the Bucs side of the equation, things aren't looking much better. Tampa, coming off of Monday Night Football, held a walkthrough, so their injury report is estimated.

- CB Carlton Davis (toe): LP
- CB Jamel Dean (neck/shoulder): DNP
- LB SirVocea Dennis (hamstring): DNP
- DL Calijah Kancey (calf): DNP
- Derrick Pitts (hamstring): DNP
- Vita Vea (pectoral): DNP
- Devin White (foot): DNP

The Saints (2-1) and Bucs (1-2) face off on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome with the winner moving into the catbird seat of the NFC South.
