Bobby Hebert has an idea that may or may not become reality, but ESPN anchor and New Orleans native Stan Verrett knows it's well within the realm of possibility.
Hebert told Verrett on SportsTalk this week that he hopes enough Saints fans ship up to Atlanta for the Saints' Week 18 showdown in Atlanta that they can start a legitimate Who Dat chant before the game, effective taking over the stadium in hostile territory.
Verrett's assessment of that idea was three words: "I love it."

And he's seen similar situations before. He recalled one Saints-Falcons game where he spotted a second line, complete with a tuba and a bass drum. He assumed they'd driven, because it's tough to fit a tuba on a plane.
The passion for the game travels, said Verrett, who has continued to be an avid Saints fan over his years at ESPN. It can be different in Atlanta, he says, particularly when there's a competing interest like Georgia getting ready to face Alabama in the College Football Playoff Championship.
Still, even if the fanbase is split interest-wise, he still doesn't expect the numbers in the building to be any less fueled-up for a rivalry showdown. That goes for the players as well, he said.
Hebert continued to lay out plans for his ideal Saints finish, and it sets up nicely. Should the Saints land in the playoffs, they'd head to face the Rams in the Wild Card round. The payback game, perhaps? It'd be a storybook way for this all to play out, and Hebert said he'd love for that be a 12-10, ugly football game like the ones the Saints have become so adept at winning recently.
Verrett would prefer to see some more appearances from the Saints WRs on the way, but either way:
“I hope that the team is not having the conversation we’re having right now. I hope they’re squarely focused on Atlanta," Verrett said. "Because for the 12 legitimate Falcons fans that are gonna be there, this is their Super Bowl."
