3 armed robberies in less than two hours in Marigny says NOPD

Police in New Orleans are investigating three separate armed robberies that happened in the Marigny less than two hours apart on Sunday.

According to an NOPD report, a 29-year-old woman was walking 2400 block Chartres Street at about 11:25 p.m. when three male suspects approached her. One suspect armed with a gun demanded her personal belongings. She complied and the suspects fled the scene.

Then at 12:23 a.m., a man was walking in the 600 block of Spain Street. Police say three male suspects approached him and demanded his wallet. The victim complied and the suspects fled with the man’s wallet.

Later that night another armed robbery happened again on Chartres Street. This time it happened at about 1:06 a.m. in the 2400 block of Chartres Street.

Again, a man was approached by three male suspects, one suspect pointed a gun at the man, and demanded he hands over his personal belongings. The man complied and the suspects fled the scene.

Police have not said if the three incidents are related in some way. The investigation is ongoing.
