Officials with Jefferson Parish alerted to several power lines down along W.
Esplanade and Power Boulevard Monday morning.

Parish leaders said in a tweet that Entergy crews are out working to restore power in the area.

Lanes in both directions on Power Boulevard at W. Esplanade Avenue will be shut down until further notice.

Officials did not say what caused the power lines to go down.
However, the winter storm sweeping across Louisiana has knocked out power to several parishes in North Louisiana.
