The boil advisory stemming from Monday morning's Uptown water main burst has been lifted.
New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board announced the cancellation around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Officials said tests found that the water is safe to drink.
SWB officials urge residents who have not run their water since the boil advisory was implemented to run their faucets for several minutes to flush their water supplies.
