
It's been a bloody night in New Orleans with four shootings, five people injured and police kept busy.
Just before 10pm in the French Quarter at Bienville and Decatur two men were shot.
NOPD says the initial victim was standing next to a car when a suspect opened fire on him.
He drew a weapon and returned fire.
Both men were struck in the leg.
Both were taken to the hospital by EMS.
The evening of violence began on just before 6pm on Desire Street near the intersection with Piety.
A man was shot, he made his own way to a hospital.
After the Quarter melee, around 2am Saturday, a man arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound.
It was later determined the shooting took place in Treme, behind the Quarter on Clouet and N. Claiborne Avenues.
Roughly two and half hours later, a woman was shot near I-10 and Read Boulevard in New Orleans East.
She made her own way to a hospital.
Investigations into all four incidents are ongoing.
