The victim, who was reportedly a student at LSU, was heading to class when she was attacked at around 9 a.m., WBRZ reported.

The attack took place at the Legacy Apartments on Burbank Drive, about seven miles from campus, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office reported.

The sheriff’s office added she was on her way to her car when three individuals held her at gunpoint, taking her keys and her car.

It is believed that the suspects stole another vehicle in Ascension PArish before dumping it outside the apartment building and robbing the student on Thursday morning.

There is no further information on the incident at this time, but an investigation is ongoing.
