The violent crime trend in New Orleans continues with a man murdered in the St. Roch neighborhood.
Investigators with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the homicide which happened Tuesday morning.

Authorities say at about 6:08 a.m. officers responded to a call of shots fired near the intersection of Abundance Street and St. Roch Avenue. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics took the man to the hospital but he later died from his injuries. Police have not released the victim’s identity. The investigation is ongoing.
