Last night, New Orleans Police Officers and inspectors with the city’s Safety and Permits department visited two more bars caught in the act of violating the city’s COVID-19 crowd restrictions.
Authorities shut down Bandstand at 441 Bourbon Street and Drunken Fry/Studio 504 at 530 Bourbon Street. The two bars were shut down on the spot and crowds of unmasked people were ordered to leave.
Bandstand and Studio 504 are the latest bars the city says were shut down because of noncompliance with city restrictions.
Today, New Orleans’ bar closure goes into effect citywide. Packaged alcohol and alcoholic to-go drinks are also banned until Ash Wednesday.
