The second woman wanted in connection with a shooting on U. S. 90 recorded and posted to social media is now in custody.
New Orleans Police Department officials said in a press release Monday that Erica Nettles surrendered to authorities on Saturday. She is facing a charge of illegal discharge of a firearm from a moving vehicle.
Investigators say Nettles and India Fazande were caught on video firing guns from a car as it traveled along U. S. 90 at the Loyola Street exit. The incident and the video showing it sparked outrage from New Orleans residents and city leaders alike.
Fazande was arrested in connection with the incident on October 25.
