After several days of almost spring-like weather to close out the month of January and the first couple of days of February, that streak comes to an end.
"We'll have some rain moving in," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler.
"Some showers passing through during the late morning and afternoon, also, we'll see a line of heavy rain and storms rolling in this evening," she said.
And in addition to the rain, what really poses a threat to floats rolling this evening is the wind.
"We could see strong wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour," said Alexa, "with high temperatures today in the mid-60s."
After a morning rain chance of 20 percent, Sunday should be mostly dry with highs in the upper 60s.
