1 dead, 2 seriously injured in NJ construction site electrocution

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A construction worker was killed after being electrocuted at a construction site in New Jersey Friday morning, according to authorities.

Two other construction workers were seriously injured.

The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Quincy Court in Woodbridge Township.

The workers were putting up scaffolding to put siding in when wind took down a pole, according to police.

Two workers attempted to get a hold of the pole, which then hit an electrical wire.

The workers were shocked, and police tried to resuscitate them.

Both were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other is in critical condition.

Another worker suffered serious burns and was moved to a Perth Amboy hospital.
