NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The 100th annual NYC Veterans Day Parade is set to kick off at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in the largest commemoration of service in our nation.
President Donald Trump, accompanied by U.S. Marine Corps Commandant Gen. David Berger, will address the vets at the opening ceremony and participate in a wreath laying at Madison Square Park.
At 12:45 p.m. the Mayor will attend the New York City Veterans Day Parade and will hold a brief media availability.At 3:30 p.m. the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum holds their annual Veterans Day ceremony.
Over 25,000 people participate, including vets, active duty military personnel, and high school and college bands and floats.
The parade will kick off at 24th Street and Fifth Avenue at noon and proceed on Fifth Avenue to 48th Street.
