NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Robert De Niro .... and the list goes.
Those are just a handful of the A-listers heading to the 76th Venice International Film Festival, which kicks off its 11-day run next Wednesday.
Twenty-one films will be screened at the festival, the world's oldest film festival. Keep in mind, this is the festival at which last year's hits "Roma" and "A Star Is Born" were screened.
One of the films getting significant buzz is "Joker," based, of course, on the DC Comic character.
Joaquin Phoenix plays the lead role, and get this: Bradley Cooper is one of the producers.
The film is set in 1981 and follows Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian who is driven insane and turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City – and the Joker is born.
And Robert De Niro plays Murray Franklin, a talk show host who plays a role in Arthur’s downfall.
