LINDEN, N.J. (1010 WINS) – Two people were fighting for their lives Sunday morning after a large fight and hit-and-run outside a New Jersey strip club.

The chaos unfolded around 3:05 a.m. outside Cheeques Gentleman’s Club on Linden Avenue.

Police say it began with a large fight in front of the club and that two victims were attacked by multiple suspects.

Investigators believe one of the victims, a 31-year-old man from Jersey City, was then hit by a car.

The driver of that vehicle took off after the crash, and police are trying to figure out if that person was in the fight and deliberately hit the man.

The two victims were rushed to Newark University Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.

It’s unclear what sparked the fight and an investigation by Linden Police and the Union County Sherriff’s Office is ongoing.
