NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for four suspects who forced their way into a Bronx apartment before beating and robbing a man living there.
The 52-year-old victim was inside his apartment near Bruckner Boulevard and Willis Avenue in Mott Haven last Sunday morning when he answered a knock at the door, police said.
When he opened the door, four robbers with guns forced their way into the apartment, according to police.
Two of the suspects struck the man over the head multiple times with firearms, police said. The four suspects then stole jewelry and other property from the apartment before taking off on foot.
The victim was taken by EMS to Lincoln Hospital, where he was hospitalized with head injuries.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects late Thursday.
