UNION CITY, N. J. (1010 WINS) -- A 71-year-old male babysitter is accused of repeatedly sexual assaulting the 6-year-old girl he was supposed to be caring for.Investigators with the Hudson County Prosecutor's Special Victims Unit say Mario Buitrago-Sanchez abused the girl several times inside his home in Union City.Buitrago-Sanchez was arrested last Friday, June 14, without incident and was charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree lewdness, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a news release.
The alleged crimes were reported to the prosecutor’s office on June 14 and that night Buitrago-Sanchez was arrested at the Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City.Suarez said the crimes occurred while Buitrago-Sanchez was babysitting the girl.
