NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A controversial children's shirt that depicted ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on the neck of George Floyd has been pulled by Amazon.
The shirt was taken off the online retailer's website amid nationwide protests sparked by the 46-year-old's death in police custody last month.
Amazon confirmed in a statement to the BBC that said "the product in question is no longer available".
On the website, a smiling boy wore the "vivid" crewneck shirt, captioned "against violent law enforcement."
The "I can't breathe" shirt was listed at $14.99 by a third-party seller and was described as "state of the art" and "great for casual" occasions.
Per the site's seller guidelines, Amazon currently prohibits the sale of items that portray crime scene photos.
According to a statement by Amazon, vendors who ignore the rules "will be subject to action including potential removal of their account," and they are investigating the account that listed the controversial children's tee.
