NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Despite walking away from its plans for a second corporate headquarters in Long Island City, Queens, Amazon remains comitted to expanding its presence in New York City, sources tell The New York Post.
Amazon is shopping for office space on Manhattan's West Side, the newspaper reported.
Amazon is seeking "at least 100,000 square feet or much more," a source said.
Sources say the company is in talks with the owners of two new skyscrapers one block west of Penn Station, One Manhattan West and the soon-to-be-built Two Manhattan West.
The owner of the buildings, Brookfield, wouldn't comment.
Amazon already has 5,000 workers in the city.
