NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Officials canceled an Amber Alert issued on Wednesday after a 28-year-old man reportedly abducted his 15-year-old brother at knifepoint after the teen was found safe.The suspect, Mohsin Ali, remains on the loose, according to authorities.
Police said the teen who was abducted in Queens was is in "imminent danger."
Ahsan Ali was abducted near 46th Avenue in Long Island City shortly after 4:30 a.m., police said.
Police said they're searching for a white, 2009 Toyota Sienna with New York license plate number JJX5315. The vehicle was last seen traveling on 46th Avenue.
Authorities are searching the suspect Mohsin Ali, a 28-year-old man who is reportedly his older brother.
The older sibling allegedly abducted the younger one at knife-point after threatening to kill himself and the teen at his parents' home when he was denied money for drugs, according to the Daily News.
Police said the 15-year-old was "taken under circumstances that lead police to believe" that he is "in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death."
Police said Ahsan Ali has brown eyes, brown hair and is 5 feet 6 inches tall. He weighs 120 pounds and was last seen wearing jeans and a T-shirt.
Mohsin Ali has brown hair and brown eyes and is 5 feet 9 inches tall. He weighs 150 pounds and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored shirt. He has tattoos on both of his arms and chest, as well as multiple recent cuts on his arms, police said.
